FEDERAL MEDICAL SCHOOL ESTABLISHMENT: EKA MIDIM COMMUNITY HONOURS REP. JIMBO AS ATUEKONG EKA MIDIM

In appreciation of his Bill to establish Federal College of Medical Laboratory Science and Technology, Eka Midim, Abak Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State, ebullient Member representing Abak/Etim Ekpo/Ika Federal Constituency and Deputy Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on National Planning and Economic Development, Rep. Clement Jimbo, MNIQS, has been honoured with Atuekong Eka Midim Chieftaincy Title.

The award was presented to the Federal Lawmaker, Thursday, 26th December, 2024, during the Eka Midim Day celebration at Community Secondary School, Midim, Abak Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State.

Bestowing the Chieftaincy Title on the Federal lawmaker on behalf of the Eka Midim Community, Prof. Nkereuwem Etukudo, Provost, Federal School of Medical Laboratory Science and Technology, Jos, appreciated Rep. Jimbo, for sponsoring a bill to establish the Federal Medical College in Eka Midim for the benefit of Akwa Ibom State, stressing that he is a worthy representative who has made them proud at the National Assembly.

In his remarks, Hon. Jimbo, who was elated with eulogies accorded him by the people of Eka Midim Community, thanked them for honouring him with the Chieftaincy Title to appreciate his efforts of attracting sustainable development to Midim Community.

Rep. Jimbo, maintained that he will keep pushing till the Bill is concurrent in the Senate and also assented by President Tinubu for the school to kickstart and supported the event with 1.5 million naira.

In another development, the people of Uruk Uso Village, Otoro, Abak Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State has conferred on Hon. Jimbo, Award of Honour as Arad Usung Uruk Uso.

Rep. Jimbo, was honoured during the 2024th Uruk Uso day celebration at Uruk Uso Village playground Thursday, 26th December, 2024, in appreciation of his excellent representation, robust youth development and empowerment in Uruk Uso Village.

The Federal lawmaker was honoured alongside other eminent leaders in Abak and Akwa Ibom State which include; His Lordship, Hon. Justice Ntong Ntong, Justice of Court of Appeal, Abuja, Pastor Engr. Dr. Iboro Johnny, Special Assistant to the MD/CEO of NDDC on National Assembly Matters, Rt. Hon. Friday Iwok, Former two term Member of Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Hon. Akan Eyo, Former Member of House of Representatives, Dr. Andy Eyo, CEO of ECEWS, amongst others.

Rep. Jimbo, while appreciating the people for the Chieftaincy Title, donated one trailer of cement to aide them in building the Uruk Uso proposed Civic Centre.
